Responsibilities

As a teacher at Arise Enrichment Academy, you will:

• Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate enrichment classes one day each week.
• Create a welcoming classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.
• Encourage curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration through meaningful learning experiences.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with students, parents, and fellow teachers.
• Communicate class expectations and important updates with families as needed.
• Arrive prepared and maintain an organized, safe, and inviting classroom.
• Collaborate with academy leadership and fellow teachers to support the academy's mission and culture.
• Model integrity, kindness, flexibility, and a lifelong love of learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for teachers who:

• Have experience working with children in educational, enrichment, or related settings.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and genuine excitement for their subject area.
• Value relationship-building as an essential part of education.
• Are dependable, organized, and self-motivated.
• Create engaging, interactive learning experiences rather than relying primarily on lecture.

• Respect and support the homeschool community and the diverse educational approaches of participating families.

A teaching credential is appreciated but not required. A Bachelors Degree or five years homeschooling experience is required. We value experience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a heart for students.

Teachers Aid

Responsibilities

As a Teacher's Aide at Arise Enrichment Academy, you will:

• Support the lead teacher in creating a welcoming, engaging, and well-organized classroom.
• Build positive relationships with students by offering encouragement, patience, and individual support.
• Assist with classroom activities, projects, games, and hands-on learning experiences.
• Help prepare, organize, and clean up classroom materials and supplies before and after class.
• Provide individual or small-group assistance to students as directed by the lead teacher.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment.
• Encourage student participation while fostering confidence, independence, and curiosity.
• Communicate respectfully with teachers, students, parents, and academy staff.
• Assist with transitions, attendance, and other classroom needs throughout the day.
• Model kindness, integrity, flexibility, and a joyful attitude.

Qualifications

We are looking for Teacher's Aides who:

• Enjoy working with children and have experience caring for or supporting them in educational, childcare, church, or volunteer settings.
• Value relationship-building as an essential part of learning.
• Are dependable, organized, and eager to serve.
• Take initiative while also following the lead teacher's direction.
• Work well as part of a collaborative team.
• Demonstrate patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Respect and support the homeschool community and the diverse educational approaches of participating families.

Previous classroom experience is appreciated but not required. We value a teachable spirit, reliability, warmth, and a genuine love for children.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal Teacher's Aide is someone who:

• Serve one day per week during the academy's scheduled enrichment day.
• Arrive before classes begin to help prepare classrooms and remain after dismissal to assist with cleanup.
• Attend occasional staff meetings or academy events throughout the school year as requested.
